Delivery driver checking parcels in a van, with courier logos including Royal Mail, Evri, UPS, DHL, DPD and Parcelforce

From Our Door to Yours, Part 1: Postage

Nobody likes getting to the checkout and finding the postage costs almost as much as what's in the basket. It's one of the main reasons people walk away from an order, and we've always tried to do things differently.

What you pay covers everything

The postage price you see covers the courier and the packaging your order goes out in. Everything is packed securely so it arrives in one piece, and nothing extra gets added at the last step.

We cover part of the cost ourselves

Royal Mail and Evri charge us more to send most orders than we charge you. Rather than pass that on, we cover the difference. If you'd like to see the real figures, they're all on our Delivery Information page.

For comparison, sending a tracked parcel yourself with Royal Mail starts from £3.65 (see Royal Mail's prices). We charge £1.95, packaging included.

And with Evri, sending a parcel yourself starts from £2.70 (see Evri's prices), before you've bought any packaging. We charge £2.75 for delivery to your door, packaging included.

Small enough for your letterbox or parcel box

Wherever we can, we pack your order to fit through a standard letterbox or into your parcel box. That keeps the cost down, and it means you don't have to wait in or go and collect a missed parcel.

Tracked, whichever option you choose

Every delivery option is tracked, so you can follow your order all the way to your door. Choose Royal Mail, Evri to your door, or an Evri Parcel Shop or locker if collecting suits you better. We're adding more delivery partners soon, so you'll have even more choice at checkout.

Free tracked delivery from £25

Once your basket reaches £25, tracked delivery is on us. It still costs us to send, but it's our way of saying thank you.

Sent out fast

Order by 2.30pm, Monday to Friday, and your parcel goes out the same day.

Coming in Part 2

Most suppliers buy their boxes in. We make ours. Next time, we'll show you the packaging we make ourselves to send your order in.
