The Glitter Tree Rewards Terms and Conditions

1. About The Glitter Tree Rewards

The Glitter Tree Rewards lets schools, PTAs, clubs and charities raise money every time their supporters shop with us using their own code. By registering, you agree to these terms on behalf of your organisation.

The scheme is run by The Glitter Tree, 14 Alfred Smith Way, Legbourne, Louth LN11 8NE, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). In these terms, "you" means the organisation that registers, and "supporters" means the parents, families and members who shop using your code.

2. Who can join

The scheme is open to UK schools, PTAs and PTFAs, clubs, community groups and registered charities. Every registration is checked and approved by us before you receive a code or access to your account, and we may decline any registration without giving a reason.

  • Each organisation may hold one account.
  • The person registering must be authorised to act for the organisation, and the details you give must be accurate and kept up to date.
  • We may ask for proof of your organisation, such as your website, charity number or a letter from your school.

3. Your code and the supporter discount

Once approved, you receive your own code and link to share with your supporters. When they use it on theglittertree.com, they get 10% off their order.

  • The code cannot be combined with any other discount or offer.
  • It works on orders placed at theglittertree.com only, not on our Amazon, Etsy, eBay or other marketplace shops.
  • We may change the discount from time to time, and will tell you before we do.

4. How donations are worked out

You earn 10% of the value of every qualifying order made with your code or link. This is worked out on what the supporter paid for products after their discount, and does not include delivery charges.

An order qualifies when:

  • it is placed at theglittertree.com using your code, or within 30 days of a supporter clicking your link;
  • it is paid for in full and not cancelled, refunded or returned (if it later is, the donation for that order is removed);
  • it is not placed by the account holder, or anyone acting for them, for their own use.

You can see every qualifying order and the amount earned in your Rewards account at any time. You will see order values only, never your supporters' names, addresses or what they bought.

5. How and when donations are paid

We pay your donations every three months once your balance reaches £10. Any balance below that carries over to the next payment.

  • Payments are made only to a bank account in your organisation's name, never to an individual's personal account.
  • We wait 30 days after an order before including it, to allow for returns and refunds.
  • Each payment is shown in your Rewards account with the orders it covers.
  • Your organisation is responsible for recording the money it receives correctly in its own accounts.

6. Sharing your code

We'd love you to share your code with your supporters, in your newsletters, on your website, through your school or club communications and at your events.

To keep the scheme fair, you must not:

  • post your code on voucher, coupon or cashback websites, or browser extensions;
  • use paid search adverts that bid on "The Glitter Tree" or our product names;
  • send unsolicited messages or spam;
  • make claims about our products, or about how much your organisation will receive, that are not accurate.

If we find your code being used in any of these ways, we may replace it and remove any donations from orders it affected.

7. Using our name and logo

You may use The Glitter Tree name and logo to tell supporters about the scheme, on your menus, banners, leaflets, newsletters and website. Please use only the files provided in your Rewards account, and don't alter them.

"The Glitter Tree" is our registered trade mark. Using it under this scheme does not make you our agent or representative, and you must not suggest otherwise.

8. Your data and your supporters' privacy

We use the contact and payment details you give us only to run the scheme and pay your donations, in line with our privacy policy. We never share your supporters' personal details with you, and we never share yours with other organisations in the scheme.

Your Rewards account is run on GoAffPro, a platform we use to manage registrations, codes and payments securely.

9. Changes, suspension and leaving

You can leave the scheme at any time by emailing us, and we'll pay any donations already earned on qualifying orders at the next payment date.

  • We may change these terms, the discount or the donation rate by giving you at least 30 days' notice by email. Changes never affect donations already earned.
  • We may suspend or close an account, and withhold donations on the orders involved, if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken or the scheme is being misused.
  • We may end the scheme by giving 30 days' notice, and will pay all donations earned up to the end date.

10. General and contact

Joining the scheme does not create a partnership, employment or agency between you and us. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
